Personal Information: William Bruce
At first, I suppose the only point of interest regarding myself that would seem to merit address is the question, "Why do you do this?" I provide only one answer:
I am dumb enough, and naïve enough, to think such a project is worthwhile.
I hope that is good enough, because that is all you are going to get. However, in case there are some poor souls interested in other matters regarding me...
Areas of Study and Interest
My areas of interest in regard to reading include, but are not limited to:
... In other words, just about any "social science" -- although I detest that phrase ...
I am also quite interested in the "hard" sciences, but unfortunately have less of a grasp on fundamental concepts in those fields, save perhaps physics.
Thus the summary of my status as scholar, I suppose, must be that I am a quasi-ambitious pseduo-intellectual
with a proclivity for meta-textual humor and pretentious prefixes. Derrida, Foucault, and Rorty would be proud. That must mean
I am a paper-pusher and budding bureaucrat! -- hence the project.
