A Newsboy

Welcome to the news page for the Web Proofreading Project! This is where I post updates on any and all events related to the project, such as the addition or listing of new beneficiaries, the submission of public proposals for the project, and the promotion of the Web Proofreading Project elsewhere.

I encourage you to return regularly, as I should have much to update in the coming months!

      As for the news...

Evansville Intelligencer Now Listed as Beneficiary!

Posted by William Bruce on May 9, 2009

The Evansville Intelligencer, a free webzine covering cultural events and goings-on in the Evansville (IN) area, now benefits from the Web Proofreading Project. The Intelligencer is a splendid source of information for those seeking worthwhile entertainment in Vanderburgh County – be that concerts, plays, film showings, or restaurants. Also included are news articles and op-ed pieces on Evansville-area politics.

The Proceedings of the Friesian School Listed as Beneficiary!

Jakob Fries

Although I have been proofreading the material at The Proceedings for years now, Dr. Ross's project is now listed on this page. I recommend his project/writing, without reservation, as one of the finest sources of contemporary philosophical essayism on the Internet (or elsewhere). The array of subjects covered is vast, but the treatments are incisive and powerfully accurate. It also helps that they are just damn true.

Correspondence

The Web Proofreading Project is now accepting suggestions and proposals for work. Go forth, and find worthy material for the project to peruse!

Project Launced!

History

The christening of the Web Proofreading Project took place on Friday evening, amid much anticipation generated by the page designer, project manager, and head proofreader (those would be me).

...And so is born into the world a beacon of disambiguating hope, quixotic as it might be.

Suggestions and Collaboration Welcome!
